Drop the file and select Plain text for a TXT copy you can search or paste. Choose Editable Word document for text in simple paragraphs. PPTX and ODP work for extracting slide text.

The export omits images and page layout. Check the reading order if the source used multiple columns or complex tables. For scanned PDFs, first make the text selectable with OCR.
